Bonjour from France

It’s been such a difficult year hasn’t it? So, I thought that it would be lovely if we can bring some smiles with a bit of festive fabulousness from France and I had an idea for a special Christmas issue of The Good Life France Magazine.

Just click here to get your copy – it’s free to read online, download and subscribe:

The Good Life France Magazine Christmas Issue

So I talked to some friends in the travel industry, style people, authors, top chefs and wine experts and they loved the idea. And they wanted to help make this issue super festive too. What began as a small project snowballed!

Recipes and decorations with French flair

Read on for a Michelin Star chef’s exclusive recipe for gingerbread and a heart-warming tale of the chef’s famous gingerbread making ancestor. Even my neighbour Madame Bernadette got involved! I wrote about her in my book My Four Seasons in France – how her Calvados based cocktails blow your socks off and her Christmas canapés induce her friends to sighs of happiness. Well, now you can make the cocktail too. And some of her favourite, very easy recipes that are perfect with aperitifs! And there are biscuit recipes, a gummy jelly recipe from a sweet toothed 2 Michelin star chef. Plus how to make the ultimate hot chocolate Paris style. And lots of food and drink features for your taste of France at home!

Plus there’s a fabulous “how-to” feature on creating a Christmas bouquet from the floral team at the Chateau de Chenonceau in the Loire Valley, known as the Castle of Flowers… And destination features on Bordeaux, Megève and Boulogne-sur-Mer.

12 brilliant giveaways

And enter all 12 of our giveaway draws. There’s a chance to win a brilliant week-long holiday in southwest France with a very special treat thrown in – wine tasting at a chateau anyone? Artwork, books, luxury bedding, gorgeous homeware, luxury gift boxes and much more. The giveaways in this issue are really, really wonderfully fabulous.

I know most of us can’t travel to France this holiday season, so we’ve concentrated very much on bringing France to you… And we’ll be sharing our popular advent calendar photos on social media so please join me there: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

Bisous my little pig sty in the middle of nowhere, rural France.

The Good Life France Issue No. 26

We’ve aimed to bring France to you in these difficult days when we can’t travel. There’s a focus on Provence – the hidden gems and prettiest villages, the French Alps playground of Les Gets, Puy du Fou which I promise you is no ordinary theme park and Rocamadour, the rock of miracles. I caught up with international best-selling author Kate Mosse (Labyrinth) and asked her about her favourite places in France and how they inspire her. There are guides and recipes and some fabulous giveaways, just enter the draw for some great prizes – you’ve got to be in it to win it!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together for you. In fact I enjoyed it so much that I decided to do one more magazine this year. And, it’s very special. A Christmas issue that’s going to be stuffed with style guides, French style Christmas decorations you can make at home and festive recipes including an exclusive and utterly delicious dessert created for us by a Michelin star chef. We’re also going to do some amazing giveaways including a holiday in southern France, art, luxury bedding and more. I figure this Christmas we’re going to need a bit of festive fun to cheer us all up.

If you like this issue please do share it with your friends and let them know it’s free to subscribe to…
