The Dieppe Kite Festival is colourful, dynamic and has a big dollop of international flavour. Energising the city of Dieppe on the Normandy’s Alabaster coast, it’s a fabulous, fun and fascinating festival.
Dieppe Kite Festival
Every two years, eight hectares of land, between the city and the sea, forming a kind of natural amphitheatre, is given over to the kite flyers. Around 40 countries take part, with about 1000 participants bringing their incredible kites with them to light up the sky over Dieppe.
Listed among the 300 biggest world events, this mesmerising festival presents the best teams and acrobatic kite pilots. Creative kites as well as traditional are represented.
This free festival also has workshops and piloting at sessions supervised by professionals as well as activities for children. There are daily kite flying demonstrations, parades, music, dancing and street performances.
