Located between Bastille and Nation in the 11th arrondissement an old iron foundry has metamorphosed into Paris’s first digital art centre. No ordinary arts venue this, the industrial walls of the factory are the perfect backdrop for the projection of enormous works of art. You’ll feel as if you’re stepping right into the heart of legendary paintings.
Immersive exhibitions
The same company behind the Carrières de Lumières in Les Baux de Provence in the south of France, are responsible for this brand new ground breaking digital exhibition in Paris.
Using 120 video projectors and a spatial sound system to recreate the artworks over an impressive 3,300 m2 of surfaces and walls up to 10 meters high, the Paris venue is simply stunning.
More than 3,000 moving images set to a musical backdrop transport you into the heart of iconic paintings – in the blink of an eye.
What to see
Exhibitions will change regularly, and the first showing will feature the works of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. For around 30 minutes, immerse yourself in the work of these artists and experience their art like never before.
The Atelier des Lumières promises to be the coolest new cultural venue in Paris.
