The delights of Dordogne

Here you’ll visit the wonderfully pretty medieval town of Sarlat. You’ll go to Beynac castle, once home to Richard the Lionheart, King of England. Seen from a hot air balloon (which is an option) it is breath-taking. Highlights include exploring the beautiful fairy-tale chateau where Josephine Baker, the famous American entertainer and activist, once lived. Rocamadour is also on your itinerary, a pilgrimage site build on the side of a cliff, one of those places you have to see to believe, it is simply stunning.
Visit a truffle farm and enjoy a tasting. Be wowed by the incredible La Roque Gageac, one of France’s most beautiful villages. And the mysterious Gouffre de Paridrac, a sink hole in a spectacular cave system. And talking of caves, you’ll also get to see the replica Lascaux Caves, filled with prehistoric paintings that are an astonishing 15,000 years old.
